Ownership and what is need to be owned and to be an owner

A conversation started by my friends was about testing and not testing of Doms and should they be tested.

In my opinion when a sub tests they no longer feel that they are held in the same prestige as they once were, of course I do speak of un-collarded subs if they do it for any reason than to be noticed they are fools. No in my mind a sub tests because they feel that their position in their owners eyes has slipped they are being taken for granted no longer a captured trophy.

Now its there a time when an owner can sit back and say all is done I need not do any more except to have tribute given. I use the idea of a garden as the slave if you leave a garden without water and weeding and nurturing and return only at time of harvest what do you think you will find? At what point will the owner stop returning to the garden and then will the garden not start to just be a field giving nothing but thorns and thickets.

In my opinion you get what you sow care must be given and it is hard work by the Doms/Dommes Masters/Mistresses what ever their title must be willing to put in the hard labor required by each garden they wish to remain as the Gardener. Some take a lot, some take little but the level must be found out by the gardener not dictated by the flowers something subs might do after all plants always want more water yet when they have too much they can drown in it.
